Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Archive Marine. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.

Using the app

  • Archive Marine is a service-history tool for boat owners. You may use it to record services, store invoices, track recurring charges, and manage ownership of your vessels.
  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, and you must use your own name and a real email address you control.
  • You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account.

Your content

  • Service records, invoices, receipts, and notes you add remain yours. We store them so the app can display them to you and let you export them.
  • Do not upload content you are not allowed to share, including other people's private information or content that is unlawful.
  • If you transfer ownership of a vessel to another account, the vessel's records move to that account, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

  • Do not attempt to access another user's data, break the service, reverse engineer it, or use it to build a competing product.
  • Do not use the app to distribute malware, spam, or illegal content.
  • We may suspend or close accounts that abuse the service or put other users at risk.

Service availability

  • We work to keep the app available and accurate, but we provide it as-is and as-available, without warranties of any kind unless required by law.
  • We may change, pause, or discontinue features. If we discontinue the app entirely, we will give you reasonable notice and a chance to export your data.
  • The app helps you keep records; it does not verify the accuracy of invoices, service quality, or pricing provided by third-party vendors.

Ownership transfers and deletion

  • Transferring a vessel hands its records to the account that claims the transfer link; transfer links work once and can be cancelled by you.
  • You can delete your account at any time. Your personal details are removed, and vessel records may remain attached to the vessel for its next owner.

Liability

  • To the fullest extent allowed by law, Archive Marine is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits, or lost data arising from your use of the app.
  • Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 if you have paid nothing.

Changes to these terms

  • We may update these terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date, and where practical, announced in the app.
  • Continuing to use the app after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
